A manager was accused of wasting a rich business owner’s goods. How often does this happen in today’s generation? The owner called him asking ‘What is this I hear about you? One might say this steward was in serious trouble. A position where believers as stewards do not want to be with our Chief Executive Officer, God. As the story goes the rich business owner demanded the shrewd steward to give him an account of his management and proclaimed that he could no longer be in management anymore. In other words he was FIRED! Like God this business owner removed this person for his incompetence and unethical behavior. However, God’s judgement or removal may happen at anytime in the future, on the day of the Lord, when we all stand at the judgement seat (2 Corinthians 5:10).
Be encouraged children of the light, never tire of your good works, for you will receive your just reward (1Corinthians 3:14). Just remember men and women of God, as business owners or other leaders, our CEO, God has high expectations of His called stewards as His image bearers (Genesis 1:26) who are to serve, care for, and manage His Creation and demonstrate integrity, love, and unselfish behavior.
Word of Encouragement: God has equipped His stewards (servants), with His Holy Spirit to help them be faithful stewards over His Creation (2 Corinthians 3:16-17) wherever they are in this walk of life and whatever the position He has placed them in the kingdom. All we have to do is follow the Holy Spirit’s lead (Galatians 5:16).
