The Judge is Coming

Our Judge is coming, His appearance, will bring joy to some but to others it will be nothing to laugh about.

In the 60’s and 70’s there was a show called “Laugh In” many of us baby boomers used to watch it and thought the skit was hilarious. A judge portrayed by, Sammy Davis Jr., a back in the day, comedian, would dress like a judge with a gavel in his hand, ready to present judgement on the accused. The people in the courtroom would say, “ Here Comes Da Judge.”

Well beloveds, the Judge is coming, with all power and great glory (Matthew 24:30). When He appears, it will not be a laughing matter. Jesus is coming and He will not be portraying a judge, He is the Judge, and it won’t be a laughing matter to sinners, the unfaithful and the disobedient. However, God’s faithful remnant, His elect can rejoice and be glad (v 31).

I am shouting “repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.” Be reconciled to God, our Father. Jesus, the Judge, is coming, this is a serious matter. However, it is quite obvious that humanity thinks, Jesus is not returning, some spiritual leaders are not teaching the true gospel and the Holy Spirit is being quenched. Many Christians are living a life built on false teachings, therefore, hatred, violence, immorality, selfishness, and greed, has seeped in and is spreading into the hearts and souls of mankind.

Christians are you paying careful attention, on how you are living? Scripture tells us “not to live, as unwise people but as wise making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is (see Ephesians 5:15-17). Take time to search the scriptures for God’s will.

My beloved brothers and sisters, according to Romans 8:12-14, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. It is my hope, that you understand, “if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”
I urge you beloveds to seek the truth from God’s written word and pay attention to what you are hearing and listening to. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, follow His lead in the footsteps of our true leader, the head of the church, Jesus Christ!

Hear yea, hear yea, the trumpet sounds. The Judge, is coming! Jesus is coming!

Father, I pray that Your people will understand the seriousness of living wisely according to Your word, under the influence of the Holy Spirit and follow in the footsteps of Jesus the lover of our souls. Amen.
