Groaning ?

Know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. The same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

Romans 8:22-27

Firstfruits

Father we give You our firstfruits.

Even when we are suffering we are strong because of what You are offering.

Hope, love, joy, and peace is our daily feasts.

Father we give You are firstfruits– the crops of love and florishing service.

Your Spirit within keeping us from sin.

We live by Your promises and many blessings.

Groaning inwardly waiting patiently for our ultimate deliverance.

Father we give You our firstfruits.

Planted

Planted

I do not know where this is going to take me, but I am Planted.

Planted in the rich soil of His grace.

Knowing that one day I will see Him face to face.

The door of hope is open.

My Husband, Jesus soaking me in the oil of His compassion.

In my faithfulness I will acknowledge Him as Lord.

Planted, nurtured, and cultivated in the soil of Love.

Hosea 2:14-23

“Therefore, I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards and will make the Valley of Anchor a door of hope.  There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt.  In that day,” declares the LORD, you will call me ‘my husband’; you will no longer call me ‘my master. I will remove the names of the Baals from her lips; no longer will their names be invoked. In that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds in the sky and the creatures that move along the ground. Bow and sword and battle I will abolish from the land, so that all may lie down in safety. I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion. I will betroth you in faithfulness, and you will acknowledge the LORD. “ In that day I will respond,” declares the LORD— “ I will respond to the skies, and they will respond to the earth; and the earth will respond to the grain, the new wine and the olive oil, and they will respond to Jezreel. I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one. I will say to those called ‘Not my people, You are my people’; and they will say, ‘You are my God.”

You Can Call Me “Ma”

Several months ago, when I was in going through the check-out, in the grocery store, a young lady was sitting behind the cash register. While I was placing my groceries on the counter, I heard a voice say, “Did you get everything you needed ma?” I said yes. A few weeks later, I went back to the same store, searching for her at the cash register. And she was not there, so I went joyfully down the aisles searching for her. I was on a mission. It obviously was a day for stocking shelves for there where several employees engrossed in their work with mask on. Covid-19 has caused us to look like masked bandits. Now you really cannot tell the bad guy from the good guy. What the hey! I guess, it does not matter for God says, He can turn the bad too good for it is He who judges, so do not worry about what is behind the mask. Are you ready for me to get on with the real story?

OK, so here I am in the store checking out heads and bodies to determine who this special lady was. The aisles were starting to look like a maze, so I kept searching and walking through the maze again.  Finally, my senses spotted her. The young lady I was seeking, she was standing facing the milk freezer with her back turned. I stood there contemplating feeling a bit uncertain, she turned around, I saw her eyes, and a mask covering her mouth. And I said, “Excuse me, can I talk to you for a minute?” She then pulled her mask down and looked at me. At that moment we were standing face to face and I told her my story. She happily responded, “That was me, you look like my mother, I will bring her picture, so you can see.” I then blessed her with one of my books called “From Nakedness to Purpose.” However, the story has not ended. While standing in line, 6 feet apart, as commanded, she approached a young man, and directed him to open a register for me, so I could pay for my groceries. Such, daughterly love. That young lady now has a place in my heart as my adopted daughter. Many of the younger generation address me as ma or mum (as they say in Africa). I enjoy and love every one of them calling me ma or mum. I am humbled and honored that not only my children use that endearment but others. Thank you, Father for sharing, Your adopted children.

Seeing Eyes

Is my eyes open? Open your eyes, my close friends are telling me.

I am in serious reflection and I have a question.

Am I seeing and not revealing? Is it a secret between You and me?

Why is everyone telling me to open my eyes? After all I can see.

Only what Jesus has revealed to me. My eyes are open and I can see.

The world is in a mass destruction. A Babylonian mess.

My eyes can see and my ears can hear the cries of distress and helplessness.

My eyes are open and my heart has been pierced, blood flowing from the Lamb.

So here I stand, a reflection of You, with a mind of Christ and a heart of love.

Surely I can see what is in front of my eyes, is not a surprise. Destruction everywhere.

Hatred, bondage of every type of sin, lying, and denying Your reign. Deja’ vu!

The word that sets in my mind. Only You know if its time. My eyes are open.

My ears can hear, the voice in the wilderness calling out Jesus name.

Kingdom workers keep working in love and peace. Advancing the Kingdom is no game.

Looking beyond the bad and seeing the good and the beauty each person is holding.

God’s kingdom of empathy, compassion, unselfishness, and sacrificial love is unfolding.

Prayer:

Father, help us to see what you want us to see, looking beyond the bad and seeing the good in continuing the work that you have called us to do as kingdom workers and co-workers in Christ in fulfilling His mission. Amen

Psalm 145:10-13

All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD, And Your godly ones shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power; To make known to the sons of men; Your mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

The Age of Grace

Age of Grace

In this age of grace, sin is separating mankind from God (Isaiah 59:2).  God is the absolute wisdom and power mankind’s dependence is on Him (Romans 11:34-36). The spiritual relationship of King Solomon with God brought on positive and negative consequences due to his behavior and actions. Like King Solomon all of mankind are subject to judgement according to their actions toward God and people.

The laws of God are mankind’s guidance toward living upright and healthy lifestyles that are devoted to Him. Jesus invites you into an intimate relationship with Him. Jesus is our living Grace. May we live as citizens of God’s grace.

The Age of Grace

Mankind you are living in the age of grace.

You are living in God’s loving and forgiving hands.

If you are in a lifestyle of sin.

Recognize you cannot win.

If you are not living in His image.

It is against your advantage.

In this age of grace.

The righteous must live by faith.

In response to past judgement and future glory.

Listen to the Son’s message of salvation and judgement.

Walk in grace as you journey on this earth.

For God’s Words tells the whole unified story.

Romans 3:20-24

Because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart  from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus (NASB).
