Pay Your Debt

Pay your debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, these are part of the dept “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet, and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Does this sound like it can be possible or affordable? Do you need reminder calls? Don’t worry it is understood that one may forget a payment or two. Interpersonal things pop up out of no where. Forgiveness will get you back on the payments of love. There is no small print. Love is heaven sent. Just keep the cash of love clean and pure when you are paying your debt. For you will be fulfilling the dept of love.

Soaking in the Son

Soaking in the Son, eyes closed head lifted up.

His rays beaming on my face. Soaking in the Son.

My seizing body trembles elated from His penetrating rays.

Resting in the Son, in His comforting healing arms.

His fulfilling touch means so much.

Satisfying, gratifying, and rectifying.

His radiant arms lifting me up, taking me to Abba Father.

Under the threshold to the Garden.

Spirits bonding, fire in my eyes, unable to open.

So deeply in love and in sincere worship, exalting the Son.

Such pleasure that is indescribable.

So blessed, so mystifying, so immovable.

When I am soaking in the Son.

His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand,
    where his power was hidden.

Struggling

Genesis 32:22-32 (NIV)

Have you found yourself struggling with God and others?  Well, here is someone who did, if you are not familiar with the story. I am presenting it now.  One night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions.  So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.  When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”The man asked him, “What is your name?”

“Jacob,” he answered.

Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.”But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

What have you struggled with God and others in your mind or heart ? Did it turn out to be the turning point of your life? It was with Jacob.

Turning Point

Obstacles and trials are life’s opponent.

Throwing everything it’s got.

You ducking and dodging.

Getting knocked down with that hard right.

But you got up by the count.

Thinking ” I do not want to lose this fight!”

Round 1, Round 2, Round 3

You broke free, winning the victory.

God removed the obstacles.

As you come from under the ring’s rope.

With the understanding that life is no joke.

Look up and reach towards the heavens.

Thanking God for your turning point.

The Rhythm of the Spirit

My life sustaining movement of the Spirit.

The rushing breeze of the wind lifting me.

I feel like I am floating on air,

When I’m dancing to the rhythm of the Spirit,

The thematic sound of the timpani and conga drums.

Making His presence grand. My soul hums.

The wistfully sounds of a symphony hallowing His name.

Violins playing my soul is swaying so quite, gentle, and sincere.

So melodiously near, there is nothing else I rather hear.

Other than the music He brings when we are embraced in dance.

Dancing to the thematic sounds of timpani and conga drums.

In the rhythm of the Spirit.

Psalm 30:1-3, 11

I will exalt you, Lord,  for you lifted me out of the depths
and did not let my enemies gloat over me. Lord my God, I called to you for help,
    and you healed me. You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead;
you spared me from going down to the pit. You turned my wailing into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.

A Cloud Over Me

There is a cloud over me.

A rain cloud moving over me.

In the presence of God my life starts.

It is a cloud of showers of blessings.

Making me a living lesson.

It is not a cloud of sadness or depression.

Because of Jesus resurrection.

Jesus came to give life.

Life more abundant.

Leaving me in awesome astonishment.

Yes, there is a cloud over me.

It is a cloud of love, protection, and direction.

The clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind.

Blessings, love, protection, and direction

What is That in Your Hand?

After reading Exodus 4:2 where God asked Moses “Whats that in your hand? I chuckled and reflected on my past as a 10 year old. My mother asked me that exact same question “Whats that in your hand? Here is how the story begins. I was hungry one night and went to the kitchen to find something to eat. In those days most parents did not allow you to just open the refrigerator door and help yourself. That was strike one. While walking through the danger zone, (where my mother was) I attempted to hide my secret provision. Trying to hide something was strike two. I must of had that frightened or guilty look like Adam and Eve when God asked them “Where are you?” and the appearance of uncertainty wondering if I was going to get pass her or not. Then it happened, some of the most frightening words of my life! “Whats that in your hand? “Nothing” I replied. But she checked my hands anyway and found nothing, however, she was not convinced. I can’t recall what happened next other than she found a slice of baloney stuffed in my pajama pants at the waist. Whelp that was strike three, your out. Can you guess what happened next? Let’s just say, like God my mom believed in discipline especially for lying. So I got a beaten (as we called it in those days).

The moral of the story is– “You can’t hide nothing from God or your mother. “

The Flavor of Hope

Knowing that Jesus is coming from the clouds, His children can savor the flavor of hope.

As the roots of a cedar tree savoring the sweetness of the refreshing rain.

God’s children are filled and spilling over with the savoring flavor of hope.

Living under the sheltering roof of God in His dwelling on earth.

His children can savor the flavor of His sweetness of hope through the chaos, pain, and death.

Hope is our faith in Christ and His resurrection power, sharing His suffering, and becoming like Him.

Children of God savor the sweetness of the flavor of hope. Until Jesus comes again from the clouds.

More Love Less Hate

In the New International Version  Bible love appears 538 times. That means that love is some serious business and nothing to play with! But many people chose to actively play games with love.

Love is the sweetest thing I know, it’s like a surprise box of chocolate covered strawberries, like the aroma of a bed of roses, and a light shower of rain with the sun shining brightly. Jesus said, I have loved you, as my Father has loved me  (John 15:9). A love relationship with Jesus’ is one of intimacy, forgiveness, and sincerity.

Maybe, just maybe, that is why some people do not know how to love because, no one has loved them like Jesus. However, believers have the love of God in their hearts (Romans 5:5).  And they are commanded to love one another. So why is there so much hate?

Hate is written 80 times in the New International Version Bible. In doing the math or just looking at the figures, one can discern which is pleasing to God. Hate in the Webster’s Dictionary means:

“Intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury. Or extreme dislike or disgust:antipathy, loathing.”

I did research on “How many practicing Christians are there in the United States” because it is my assumption that all this hate and not love is not only coming from unbelievers.

In the United States it was found by a  General Social Survey (2000-2004) that 80% of adults were identified as Christians. And as of July 1,2019 out of 256 million adults in the United States, according to the Pew Research Center (2018-2019), 65% identify as Christians. According to a Pew research survey conducted in 2019 the United States is steadily becoming less Christian and less religiously observant.

Wow! Mind boggling, do the math, figures do not lie or do they? Fellow believers what to you think?

Someone or something must change. It is time to be reconciled to God, more love less hate. More love less hate! More love less hate!

Escape from hate learn to love and appreciate. More love less hate.

More love less hate.

The He-Goat

I had a vision on 10/17/2020, I was sitting in my recliner chair where I do most my reading and writing. I leaned back and closed my eyes. I saw a bearded goat (He-Goat) drinking from a puddle of water surrounded by slates of stone.

Immediately, I did what I do best — research, always seeking to know the things of God. In my browser I typed “biblical meaning of a goat.”

The Christian meaning for goat is “a representation of demonic forces, wicked men, and oppressors, in addition to sinners who have not repented. These unrepented sinners will be separated from God on judgement day.”

Matthew 25:33-36 tells the story of the sheep and the goats. When the Son of man comes in His glory and all the angels with Him. He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him and He will separate the people from one another as a Shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on the right, “Come you who are blessed by my Father take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.” Feel free to read the passage and see what will happen to the goats and why. The he-goat is not all bad, I read a proverb that explains the good side of a he-goat.

Proverbs 30:29-31 reads and is explained as: There are three things that are stately in their stride, and move in a stately bearing: a lion mighty among beast who retreats before nothing, a strutting rooster, a he-goat (emphasis), and a king secure against rebellion. What do they have in common?

They have in common a stride of regal dignity over their own communities. Like the creatures, the King whose wisdom is shown by his security against rebellion maintains divinely ordained social boundaries. As one can see the goat has various meanings.

As I reflect on my vision the puddle of water and the goat, two scriptures came into remembrance, Jesus in John 4:14 says to the woman at the well, “That whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” And in John 7:37-39, Jesus says in a loud voice, emphasis on a loud voice.” Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in Me as scripture has said rivers of living water will flow from within them” By this He meant the Spirit.

In my summation of my online research and studying the scriptures, there are good and bad themes related to the goat. I will give the bad first.

The bad is the world is in a spiritual and deadly upheaval and in dire need of royal, stately, dignified, and godly leadership. Leadership that will honor and glorify God. Now here is the good.

The good is Jesus will someday return and God is giving the wicked, oppressors, and all sinners a chance to repent. An invitation is sent out by the Spirit and the Bride saying in Revelation 22:17 to “Come”! And let the one who hears “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty “Come!” Let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. Jesus says “Repent because the kingdom of God is at hand.”

Repent for the kingdom of God is at hand.
