My question today can be very detrimental to you being prepared for the “The Lords Day, Jesus Second Coming.”
Is your light on? Not your front porch light, but the light of the Holy Spirit. the Holy Spirit is more powerful than any manmade light, it is like a solar light that collects it power from the Sun and shines in the darkness to light one’s path. As described in Psalm 119: 105, “God’s word is a lamp for our feet, a light on our path.”
The Holy Spirit’s role/ ministry is to illuminate scripture, so the believer will behold the glory of the Lord “with unveiled faces” and become transformed into the image of Jesus Christ, this is an ongoing transforming process (2 Corinthians 3:18). The Holy Spirit is needed
to reduce the works of the flesh (Roman 8:13); adultery, fornication uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like(Galatians 5:19-21). As believers we need a secured victory over the flesh, that is why a believer must be led by the Spirit (Romans 8:14). I say, how happy are those who understand that the gift of the Holy
Spirit, is the Spirit of God, given to believers so they will have the understanding what God has freely
given them (1 Corinthians 2:12); He is the Spirit of truth and He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13).
I urge you, believers, to allow the work of the Holy Spirit to create in you the good fruits of Jesus Christ: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control Galatians 5: 22-24. Take time to eat and savor God’s Spiritual food.
Beloveds, be led and live by the Holy Spirit, walk on life’s paths, yielding to His moment to moment prompting, depend on His dependence of allowing Him to control your affections, thoughts, and actions (Galatians 5: 16- 26).
I urge, you not to commit the unpardonable sin against the Holy Spirit, the rejection of His lead (Matthew 12:31).
I also implore you to let Christ dwell in your hearts by faith, that you be rooted and grounded in love, emphasis on Ephesians 3:16,17); living as good citizens of the world, working and pleasing God as faithful servants. Studying, learning, and following the instructions on how to live, that Jesus and the Apostles have given you; in addition to, remembering the lessons in the past to prevent making the same mistakes/errors ( 1Corinthians 10:11).
I urge you not to reject instruction because in doing so you are rejecting God; God who has given you His Holy Spirit (1Thesalonians 4:1-8). Be wise and sincere in your hearts and not hypocritical, tend to your soul’s affairs; beloveds keep your Holy Spirit light burning. Are you awake? Is your light on? Are your lamps filled with oil? Is your soul ready for that glorious day of Christ second coming?
